Los Angeles Artist Campaign Photography
HoodTrophy Bino and Keykinya were photographed by Aram Kay in Downtown Los Angeles for a promotional campaign supporting their collaborative single. The production combined artist portraiture with fashion-led visual direction to create imagery that could work across release artwork, press materials and digital promotion.
Rather than building the session around one hero portrait, the visual direction was designed as a connected series. Wardrobe, location, color and composition work together to give both artists a recognizable identity across multiple photographs.
Built for Release Artwork, Press and Promotion
Artist campaigns often need photographs to perform across very different formats. A strong portrait may become release artwork, while wider compositions can support press layouts, social media and promotional graphics.
For this series, the goal was to maintain a consistent visual identity while creating enough variation in framing and interaction for the photographs to function as a broader campaign rather than a single-use image.
Downtown Los Angeles Visual Direction
Studio Noir and the surrounding Downtown Los Angeles environment provided the visual foundation for the project. Industrial fire-escape textures, metal structure, dark wardrobe and fading daylight created a controlled urban atmosphere without separating the artists from the character of the location.
The finished photographs combine promotional portraiture, fashion influence and location-driven image making while keeping the artists themselves at the center of the campaign.
