Commercial Color Grading

Commercial color grading and finishing for Slim Jim branded entertainment released through Super Deluxe, the Turner-operated digital comedy channel. The visual treatment was built around the production’s surreal studio design, balancing highly saturated greens, yellows, magentas and blues while maintaining readable skin tones and consistency throughout the sequence.

The production was built around a deliberately artificial palette inspired by daytime television, fitness programming and surreal comedy. The grade reinforced the mint-green environment while preserving separation between the yellow wardrobe, coral clothing, blue set elements and deep magenta creature. Skin tones were balanced to remain readable without weakening the exaggerated color treatment. Shot-to-shot consistency was especially important because the frame frequently contained several intensely saturated colors at the same time.
